First Blog!

Well….I’m finally writing my first blog post! April and May were hectic months!! Trying to juggle a part-time job, taking care of kids & home, and making and selling soap at the same time is not an easy task. My problem is that I’m interest in too many things and want to do them all. But that’s just not possible, physically or mentally, so I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s better to do a few things and do them well than to do 50 mediocre things. I used to try to make 2-3 batches of different types of soap on the days I was home and finish and clean everything before picking up my girls from school at 3:00. That was not a good idea! I would end up with a big mess in my kitchen and get so tired that I had no energy for anything else. Now I try to make one kind of soap each day and do it well. So in the last two weeks I made a few batches that turned up really well. I made a batch of what I call a “manly soap”, which is another name for nothing too pink or girly 🙂 And I made a couple of batches of thing I’ve made in the past which were very popular.
